COP led Projects Changfang and Xidao sign the first NTD multibillion localization contract with Century and Bladt

Changfang and Xidao signed the first NTD multibillion localization contract in the history of offshore wind in Taiwan. The Projects have contracted Century Wind Power to manufacture jacket foundations for the 600MW Changfang and Xidao projects off the Changhua Coast in Taiwan with grid connection awarded in 2021 and 2023. Century will partner with Bladt Industries of Denmark. The contract will create up to 300 jobs in Century Wind Power and their suppliers in Taiwan.

Copenhagen Offshore Partners is leading the development and construction of the projects. COP VP Jesper Krarup Holst is the Project CEO located in Taipei said: “This contract demonstrate CIP and COP’s commitment to deliver against the Taiwan Governments Localisation Policy for offshore wind.”

The Contract signing was witnessed by the Vice President of Taiwan, Mr Ch en. The contract is subject to the projects reaching Financial Close.
