COP opens offices in Tokyo and Seoul

The two new locations are the second and third to be unveiled in Asia, following the opening of the CIP/COP project office in Taipei in 2017.

The Tokyo and Seoul offices will provide a more concentrated presence in the region and an accessible venue for partner meetings, project acquisition and project development activities. Establishing the offices in Tokyo and Seoul are critical elements in CIP’s offshore wind growth strategy in Asia.

Managed under the stewardship of COP Co-CEO Henrik Scheinemann – who has significant experience from development and construction of large offshore wind projects and relocated to Tokyo – COP Japan operations will be supported later this year by offshore wind specialist Yumi Aizawa, Chief Development Officer of COP Japan, and COP Korea will be led starting August 1 by offshore wind specialist David Yoo, CEO COP Korea.
